Five week program for levels A, B & C- June 28th to July 30th, 2010.
The
cost is $2500 for the Summer Intensive Program, ages 12 and older.
Boarding is available for ages 13 and up and will once again take place at the beautiful Hun
School www.hun.k12.nj.us
The boarding fee of $1900 includes double occupancy dormitory rooms,
breakfast, dinner, daily transportation to and from PDT Studio and weekend
activities.
Program hours are: Weekdays 9:30 am - 4:30 pm, Friday 9:30 - 3:30 and Sat 11am - 4pm.
Deposit of 50% is required upon registration for tuition and boarding.
We will have three levels grouped by skill pre-pointe thru advanced pointe dancers ages 12 and older. Training includes Ballet, Pointe or Pre-pointe, variations, jazz, modern, acting, choreography and stretch. Students perform in a theater at the end of the session.
A typical day for all levels will consist of the following:

Two hour technique class

One hour Pointe, Variations or Partnering

Break
-
One hour Stretch or Pilates
-
One and one half hour Jazz, Modern, or Theater Dance

One and one half to two hour rehearsal.

Requirements for Video Audition
In order to be considered for priority acceptance, it is advised that videos be received by March 1, 2011.
Please
make your video run no longer than fifteen minutes.
At the beginning, please clearly state your name, age, and where you
currently study.
The video should encompass the basic barre elements. Do one side each of plies, tondues, degages, rond de jambe a terre and en l'air, frappes, adagio, and grand battement.
Woman, please wear pointe shoes in the center. In the center, do adagio, pirouettes, petit allegro, grand allegro. Men, please demonstrate battu combination and tours en lair.
Difficulty of combinations while maintaining proper technique will be taken into consideration while evaluating the video.
